Mechanical Project Engineer - Warehouse Hardware Integration (Automation)

What you will do

• Translate client operational needs into integrated warehouse automation solutions.
• Define, review, and approve equipment specifications, interface requirements, technical deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate integration between hirify.global systems, third-party equipment, controls systems, software interactions, and client environments.
• Own equipment integration across design, procurement, testing, deployment, commissioning, and operational ramp-up.
• Manage technical interfaces, dependencies, risks, scope boundaries, suppliers, and equipment partners.
• Collaborate with Hardware Integration, Software Integration, Deployment, Project Management, and Product teams while mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in automation, systems integration, warehouse automation, intralogistics, material handling, or industrial engineering projects.
• Experience managing complex systems involving equipment, controls, software interactions, operational workflows, and multiple technical stakeholders.
• Experience owning technical specifications, performance requirements, equipment interfaces, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience managing external suppliers, equipment vendors, or engineering partners through design, procurement, testing, deployment, or commissioning.
• Working knowledge of automation systems, machine interfaces, controls architecture, APIs, software interactions, or industrial data exchanges, plus strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
