Mechanical Engineer III, Robotics (Robotics)

Location: Santa Clara, California or Austin, Texas, United States. Relocation eligible. Travel required up to 10% of the time.

Salary: $108,000–$148,500 per year.

What you will do

• Support automation systems engineering projects spanning electrical, mechanical, and software design.
• Perform robotics systems engineering analyses for semiconductor equipment product development.
• Evaluate and negotiate internal and external customer requirements, technical risks, feasibility, and operational factors.
• Manage software and mechanical project scopes and coordinate OEM robot vendors to meet requirements, schedules, and cost targets.
• Test and qualify OEM-supplied robots, including designing physical test stands and developing testing software.
• Support system integration, manufacturing troubleshooting, quality improvement, and reliability activities throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 6–7 years of professional experience; 8 years preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in robotics or automation systems engineering and integration.
• Experience with hardware and software testing, complex troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to evaluate mechanical, electrical, and software designs for material-handling robots and related mechanisms.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Project management and supplier management experience.
• Experience with semiconductor wafer handling.
