Quality Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Manage quality requirements and improvements for specific production lines and customer products.
• Coordinate APQP projects and maintain process documentation including Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and PFMEAs.
• Utilize quality tools such as Pareto Analysis, SPC, Capability Studies, and Poka-Yoke to reduce defects.
• Resolve customer concerns using problem-solving methodologies including 8D, A3, and 3L5W.
• Facilitate Customer PPAP submissions and review systems for non-conformances.
• Oversee engineering deviations and changes requiring internal and customer approvals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an equivalent field.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality, preferably in the automotive industry working for a Tier 1 supplier.
• Experience with PPAP, PFMEA, APQP, GD&T, Gage R&R, and SPC.
• Strong understanding of IATF 16949 standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various statistical software packages.
• Ability to work off-shifts periodically to resolve specific issues.

Nice to have

• ASQ CQE certification.
• IATF 16949 External and/or Internal Auditor certification.
