Business Product Owner Lead (Pet Insurance)

Location: Remote; may be filled within any of the lower 48 U.S. states, with California listed in the position location. Employer-sponsored work authorization is not available.

Salary: $97,000–$180,000 annually; expected starting range: $97,000–$145,000.

What you will do

• Own the vision, roadmap, and prioritized backlog for Pet Data & Analytics capabilities.
• Partner with business leaders to define outcomes, success measures, and value priorities for analytics initiatives.
• Elicit and refine requirements into epics, features, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize work based on business value, risk, dependencies, and delivery capacity.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, architects, and delivery partners to resolve trade-offs and support delivery.
• Coordinate UAT planning, defect management, stakeholder communication, and business sign-off for analytics releases.

Requirements

• Eight or more years of experience planning, designing, and implementing company-wide business transformation initiatives.
• Experience delivering data and analytics solutions, including reporting, dashboards, insights, or data-driven capabilities.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, controls, standards, data management, and warehousing.
• Experience with business process analysis, data modeling, application integration, and process redesign.
• Strong understanding of agile and product-centric delivery practices, including work with Scrum teams.
• Must be eligible to work within the lower 48 U.S. states; employer-sponsored work authorization is not available.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data integration patterns and ETL processes.
• Experience with EDI and API-based file transfer and integration solutions.
• Knowledge of data lake architectures, data warehouses, reporting platforms, and analytics ecosystems.
• Three years of project management experience and graduate studies.
