Buyer - Directs (Robotics)

What you will do

• Execute procure-to-pay activities, including requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier data maintenance in SAP.
• Support RFx processes, tactical sourcing, negotiations, and contract execution across direct material commodities.
• Manage supplier communication, performance issues, discrepancies, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Run MRP in SAP and ensure the timely availability of direct goods and services for manufacturing.
• Deliver measurable improvements in cost, lead time, cash, quality, service, and continuity of supply.
• Support Production, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and the SCM Lead in meeting manufacturing needs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of direct procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, robotics, technology, aerospace/defence, or automotive.
• Experience in scaling direct procurement functions and with procure-to-pay and tactical procurement.
• Procurement experience across mechanical systems, electronics and electrical, electromechanical systems, cables and harnessing, and software and digital licensing.
• Proficiency with SAP and MRP/ERP systems, Google Workspace, Slack, and database management.
• Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, negotiation frameworks, and robotics-industry contracting.
• Degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or a related field; CIPS Level 4 or equivalent required.

Nice to have

• APICS CPIM certification.
• Awareness of export controls, including EAR, relevant to robotics and technology.
