TL;DR
Purchasing Assistant (Procurement/Supply Chain): Supporting day-to-day purchasing and material availability for electronic manufacturing with an accent on supplier coordination, MRP exception handling, and inventory accuracy. Focus on monitoring purchase orders, resolving shortages and delivery issues, maintaining SAP data, and supporting cost-reduction and supplier-performance activities.

What you will do
- Monitor purchase order confirmations, shipment dates, and delivery schedules, following up with suppliers to support on-time delivery.
- Maintain purchasing data, pricing, lead times, and material master information in SAP.
- Source low- to medium-value components, consumables, and indirect materials.
- Review MRP exceptions and take action to expedite, reschedule, or cancel orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with production planners to resolve shortages, delays, and unexpected demand.
- Communicate with suppliers, resolve invoice and goods receipt discrepancies, and support supplier qualification and procurement audits.
Requirements
- Completion of, or current study toward, an ONC in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in a manufacturing or electronic production environment.
- Working knowledge of SAP MM and familiarity with MRP processes.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, accurate data management, and effective communication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Nice to have
- Experience with mechanical component suppliers such as machine shops, metal fabricators, or plating shops.
- Understanding of lead times, MOQ, safety stock, and demand planning.
- Basic negotiation skills and exposure to ISO-certified manufacturing environments.
