Buyer Planner (Supply Chain)

Location: UK - Manchester; occasional domestic and international travel required, approximately 10–20%.

What you will do

• Manage strategic supplier relationships and commodities to achieve quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Provide feedback on forecasts, demand, and delivery schedules, and participate in critical account supply chain meetings.
• Analyze pricing trends and negotiate supplier agreements.
• Develop second sources for strategic commodities to mitigate supply risks.
• Create and manage purchase orders and requests for quotation, including technical documents, pricing, delivery requirements, and milestones.
• Optimize inventory levels and maintain MRP parameters in line with manufacturing demand and lead-time changes.

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in master scheduling, supply chain commodity or product-line management, purchasing, or planning.
• Clear written and spoken English is required, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, conflict-management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools, including strong working knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud or an equivalent system.

Nice to have

• CIPS certification.
