Senior Solutions Architect Associate Director (AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Washington, DC–McLean or Tysons Corner, Virginia, with an additional location in New York City; work may include local or out-of-state travel to offices and client sites. hirify.global is not registered to hire or employ personnel in West Virginia or Alaska.

Salary: $163,000–$278,000 annually, plus a 16% bonus target. Estimated total cash range: $189,080–$322,480.

What you will do

• Lead the most strategic and complex AWS platform engineering engagements and set architecture direction across the practice.
• Advise CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, architects, infrastructure leaders, and engineering executives on cloud strategy and AWS technology decisions.
• Guide Solutions Architects and Senior Cloud Engineers through complex architecture, delivery, security, migration, and modernization challenges.
• Develop reusable reference architectures, engineering standards, frameworks, accelerators, and intellectual property.
• Mentor technical teams through coaching, design reviews, training, and knowledge sharing.
• Partner with AWS alliance and pre-sales leaders on solutioning, estimates, proposals, statements of work, pipeline development, and sales quota attainment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as MIS, information systems, or computer science.
• 9+ years of experience in professional services or industry, including complex cloud engagements or technical portfolios.
• Deep expertise designing, implementing, and governing enterprise AWS environments across infrastructure, networking, security, automation, resilience, governance, operations, and migration.
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock agents, knowledge bases and guardrails; Step Functions; REST and event-driven API integration; data architecture; and agentic AI or generative AI builds.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using CDK or CloudFormation, IAM, VPC design, ERP integration patterns, and translating procurement workflows into technical architecture.
• Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate. Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
