Specialist Solutions Architect (AWS Infrastructure & AI Platform)

Location: Remote within the United States; willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.

Salary: $180,000–$247,500 USD annually, plus potential performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Guide enterprise customers through the full lifecycle of Databricks on AWS, from architecture and platform administration through production deployment.
• Architect and scale compute and networking infrastructure for AI workloads, enterprise LLM deployments, and high-performance generative AI applications.
• Advise on AWS security, identity, networking, infrastructure automation, observability, disaster recovery, and cost management.
• Demonstrate Databricks solutions in competitive scenarios and build custom technical solutions for complex customer requirements.
• Coordinate solution delivery across data, solutions, architecture, and partner teams.
• Provide structured customer feedback to influence product direction.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
• Hands-on experience designing cloud infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, including accelerators, model serving, vectorized retrieval, and performance-cost optimization.
• Advanced expertise in AWS security and identity, enterprise networking, platform administration, and large-scale deployments.
• Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, including live coding, debugging, and solution building.
• Experience with distributed data systems, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, Databricks, and leading architecture discussions with senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Databricks or AWS certifications.
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS native services, or Azure Synapse.
• Background in a data and AI company or cloud provider.
