Veeam Kasten, Director SE – EMEA & APJ (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Lead and develop a distributed team of Kasten Specialist Solutions Engineers and Architects across EMEA and APJ.
• Set standards for technical discovery, solution architecture, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept execution.
• Partner with regional sales leaders on territory planning, pipeline development, pursuit strategy, and technical pipeline reviews.
• Build Kasten and hirify.global Data Platform Proxy technical capability across the wider field organization through enablement, certification, and repeatable assets.
• Develop technical relationships with Red Hat, AWS, SUSE, channel partners, and system integrators.
• Travel up to 30% across EMEA and APJ, with occasional global travel.

Requirements

• 8+ years of pre-sales or solutions engineering experience in enterprise software.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching, development, retention, and performance management across multiple countries and time zones.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and virtualized environments, plus working knowledge of enterprise data protection and recovery.
• Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals with long sales cycles, including channel-led and partner-influenced sales.
• Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into business value and present credibly to technical and executive audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience selling to enterprise DevOps, Platform Engineering, or IT Operations teams.
• Experience with Kubernetes data protection, Red Hat OpenShift, AWS EKS, or VMware vSphere.
• Leadership experience in a high-growth environment or in launching and scaling a product or business.
• Experience with specialist overlay models and credibility in the cloud-native community.
