Workday Middleware Engineer (Workday)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $115,000–$135,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Workday and enterprise applications.
• Deliver hands-on integrations using EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday APIs.
• Build reliable, secure, maintainable Studio integrations with strong data quality.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute through code reviews, design reviews, troubleshooting, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least five years of Workday integration development experience; six or more years of overall experience are specified for the position.
• Deep expertise in EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, XSLT, and Studio orchestrations.
• Hands-on experience with Workday REST/SOAP APIs, the Workday data model, tenant configuration, and the Workday security model, including ISU/ISSG patterns.
• Familiarity with calculated fields and custom report design, plus strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, or H-1B transfer candidates; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Workday Pro Integrations certification.
• Experience with PICOF, PECI, or Cloud Connect for Payroll.
• Familiarity with Workday Extend and multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments.
• Experience integrating Workday with ServiceNow, Salesforce, or other major SaaS platforms.
