Software Engineer (EMS)

What you will do

• Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput systems for a multi-region, multi-tenanted EMS platform.
• Analyse critical system paths and optimise latency and performance.
• Maintain distributed, fault-tolerant systems with high availability and data consistency across regions.
• Implement real-time monitoring, telemetry, and alerting for proactive issue detection and resolution.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and infrastructure teams to align solutions and support seamless deployments.
• Review code rigorously, raise engineering standards, and use AI coding assistants critically.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience, including concurrent and performance-sensitive systems.
• Hands-on production experience with Rust and the ability to explain and defend the design of a non-trivial Rust system.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures such as NATS or Aeron.
• Knowledge of multi-tenancy patterns, cloud platforms, and multi-region deployments.
• Working knowledge of databases and caches including PostgreSQL, SQLite, Redis, or Zookeeper.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack, plus strong analytical and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• C++ or Go experience.
• Understanding of crypto markets and products.
• Financial services experience and a background in trading or EMS platforms.
• Experience leveraging LLMs to accelerate delivery.
