Software Engineer, FL (Rust)

What you will do

• Improve the availability, safety, reliability, and security of the edge ecosystem.
• Develop and optimize hirify.global’s main web server, processing more than 150 million HTTP requests per second.
• Increase platform efficiency, deployment frequency, automation, and observability.
• Design distributed systems using practical computer science, algorithms, data structures, and concurrency control.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams across hirify.global to build and operate edge applications.

Requirements

• Strong practical computer science skills, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and large distributed systems.
• Experience in performance engineering.
• Ability to drive communication and consensus across teams.
• Commitment to continuous improvement in operations and product development.
• Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export laws may be required; offers may be conditioned on authorization without export-license sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rust or Go.
• Knowledge of web servers and web protocols.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Knowledge of web security issues and industry standards.
