Instructional Design Intern

A fast-growing e-commerce company operating in South Africa and focused on building a leading online retail platform in Africa.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and update interactive training materials, e-learning modules, digital learning assets, and standard operating procedures.
• Collect, analyse, interpret, and present operational and learning data to evaluate training effectiveness.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations covering learning metrics, training insights, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Facilities, Health & Safety, and HR to identify training needs.
• Document workflows through SOPs, quick-reference guides, and process documentation.
• Identify performance and skill gaps, analyse root causes, and support practical instructional solutions.

Requirements

• N6 qualification in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Educational Technology, Human Resource Development, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple instructional or training projects and present data effectively.
• Familiarity with adult learning theories, workplace learning principles, and socioeconomic or public policy factors affecting education and workforce development.
• Collaborative, proactive, creative, detail-oriented, and confident in presenting ideas and providing feedback.

Nice to have

• Exposure to e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or Canva.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems.
