Engineer II-Failure Analysis (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Perform die-level failure analysis on electrical rejects from reliability monitors, final testing, customer returns, qualified lots, new products, process changes, packages, low-yield lots, and quality-control rejects.
• Identify failure mechanisms, verify reject samples, summarize results, and distribute findings to relevant departments and subcontractors.
• Prepare failure-analysis reports and issue CAPA recommendations for process and product improvement.
• Support test-yield, reliability, process-change, new-device, raw-material, and product-qualification activities.
• Develop and document new failure-analysis techniques, select or modify testing equipment, and support laboratory repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Train technicians and engineers, manage FA workload and reports, forecast laboratory supplies and equipment, and support cross-functional plant projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related field.
• At least seven years of failure-analysis experience.
• Good command of English required.
• Ability to operate a personal computer and use spreadsheet software.
• Ability to learn die-level failure-analysis techniques and interface effectively with other operating groups.
• Ability to influence operations teams to implement root-cause corrective actions and comply with documented procedures and quality standards.
