Field Quality Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Singapore, SGP; travel required 50% of the time; relocation is not eligible.

What you will do

• Analyze field service data, customer feedback, equipment performance, and recurring issue patterns to identify quality improvement opportunities.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for recurring product and service issues.
• Partner with field service, engineering, manufacturing, customer quality, supplier quality, and business unit teams to resolve complex technical problems.
• Improve service documentation, lessons learned, knowledge assets, and troubleshooting practices.
• Develop quality metrics, dashboards, and action plans to drive continuous improvement.
• Support customer escalations, product introductions, ramp readiness, and field reliability improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent field experience.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, field service engineering, manufacturing, customer support, or a related technical role.
• Experience leading root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work across multiple functions and influence without direct authority.
• Ability to work from the Singapore location and travel 50% of the time; relocation is not eligible.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor equipment, capital equipment, high-tech manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with customer-facing technical support or escalation management.
• Familiarity with reliability engineering, failure analysis, and data-driven problem solving.
• ASQ, Lean Six Sigma, or other quality-related certifications.
