ServiceNow Application Developer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Build and maintain ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications.
• Configure workflows and Flow Designer solutions using declarative and programmatic approaches.
• Develop scripts, UI customizations, platform extensions, and Service Portal widgets.
• Implement REST and SOAP integrations using MID Servers and IntegrationHub.
• Apply clean, upgrade-safe, maintainable, and performant ServiceNow development practices.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and support production ServiceNow implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience; the role specifies 6+ years of overall experience.
• Strong JavaScript skills, including ES5 and ES6 patterns used in ServiceNow.
• Deep expertise with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies.
• Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST, SOAP, MID Servers, the ServiceNow data model, CMDB concepts, and Service Portal widgets.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator credential and strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
• Certified Implementation Specialist credentials in ITSM, HR, CSM, or ITOM.
• Experience with Now Assist or GenAI Controller.
• Familiarity with App Engine Studio and multi-instance ServiceNow environments.
