Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Graniteville, South Carolina, US; onsite. The role is approximately 80% on the production floor in a high-temperature, high-noise environment with heavy machinery.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, plus a 10% annual target bonus.

What you will do

• Manage capital projects of up to $5M from design through commissioning.
• Develop and manage mechanical drawings using AutoCAD Mechanical, Autodesk Inventor, and Autodesk Vault.
• Lead machine factory acceptance testing, startup, and commissioning activities.
• Create and manage bills of materials and spare-parts requirements.
• Perform equipment and project risk assessments and implement safety measures.
• Manage vendors and external contractors while providing mechanical engineering support and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience managing capital projects with budgets up to $5M.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling and Autodesk Vault.
• Experience with machine factory acceptance testing and commissioning.
• Background in heavy industrial plant engineering.
• Experience with BOM management and equipment risk assessments.
• Experience managing external contractors.
