What you will do
- Design, build, and scale low-latency, highly available backend systems for margin trading.
- Develop resilient, message-driven services with Java and Micronaut within an event-driven microservices architecture.
- Build infrastructure for leverage and collateral management, real-time risk assessment, and automated liquidations.
- Write maintainable code with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing before deployment.
- Optimize payment modules and services for reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate with product, quantitative, and risk teams.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software development experience with Java 17+ and modern frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and maintaining publicly available REST APIs, including performance and scalability optimization.
- Good understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
- Practical experience with message-oriented middleware and event-driven microservices, such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or ZeroMQ.
- Good understanding of CI/CD and experience with public cloud platforms; AWS and Kubernetes are advantageous.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Vienna, Austria.
