C++ Developer (Fullstack)

Location: Remote, with hybrid options in Toronto

Compensation: $32 per hour; 520 hours over 3 months full-time or 6 months part-time.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize frontend and backend components in C++ within a full-stack environment.
• Customize and fork Chromium to build browser-based solutions.
• Design responsive user interfaces and support cross-browser compatibility and performance.
• Develop and maintain server-side components and RESTful APIs using PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Improve application security, performance, scalability, data flow, and integration between interfaces and server-side logic.
• Participate in code reviews, development discussions, and collaboration through Notion.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and experience with browser technologies, particularly Chromium customization.
• Full-stack knowledge covering user interfaces and server-side logic.
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React and Material-UI, and backend frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design, database management, web security, and browser application performance optimization.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Experience with Redux, Postman, and Notion.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
