Senior Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; hybrid with 60% in the Gastown office and 40% from home

Salary: USD 90,000–130,000 per year

What you will do

• Deliver full-stack features across the Laravel backend and Vue frontend in Agile sprints.
• Design and evolve APIs used by iOS and Android applications while maintaining backward compatibility.
• Modernize the established codebase, migrate away from legacy frameworks, and reduce technical debt.
• Build AI-powered features using agentic frameworks and contribute to evaluation and monitoring of AI quality.
• Raise engineering quality through testing, CI, code review, QA support, and release readiness.
• Investigate complex edge cases, provide rotational tier-3 support, and collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and shipping full-stack web applications.
• Deep experience with an MVC framework and a component-based JavaScript framework; the stack here is Laravel and Vue.
• Strong relational database, SQL, REST, and GraphQL skills.
• Experience working effectively in large, legacy-carrying codebases with testing, CI/CD, and code review.
• Experience building agentic LLM pipelines; comfort with Python and familiarity with LangChain.
• Familiarity with AWS, including Bedrock and ECS/Kubernetes, plus containerization and CI/CD.

Nice to have

• PHP/Laravel and Vue.js experience, including Vuetify or Vuex.
• Data engineering exposure, including ETL, transformations, and larger datasets.
• Experience integrating payments, calendars, access control, or other external services.
• Prior B2B SaaS experience.
