Staff Software Development Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Lead development of identity management products.
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend services and RESTful APIs using Java.
• Build workflows and application integrations in collaboration with the IAM, Product Management, and Business teams.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and performance tests while monitoring, debugging, and optimizing system performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support a highly available engineering platform and compliance with federal guidelines.

Requirements

• Deep proficiency in enterprise Java, object-oriented programming, systems architecture, RESTful APIs, Hibernate, and Spring.
• Good understanding of CI/CD tools and processes.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Postgres.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS or GCP.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and resolution of complex issues.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps automation workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and container infrastructure.
• Experience implementing AI-driven anomaly detection, identity analytics, or automated policy generation in enterprise access management platforms.
• Knowledge of OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, federation, or SSO.
