Acquisition Management Engineer (Space and Ground Systems)

Location: On-site in Chantilly, Virginia, United States; minimal travel and standard working hours.

Salary: $110,000–$134,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Support acquisition engineering, program management, and COTR activities for new acquisition starts and program baseline changes.
• Develop technical requirements for demonstration and development program phases.
• Create technical evaluation criteria and checklists for contractor demonstrations and milestone reviews.
• Lead technical engagements, meetings, and program office evaluations with multiple developers through system operations.
• Support COTR management and contract execution, including developing and reviewing contract CDRLs.
• Develop and review statements of work and requirements for RFPs and ECPs.

Requirements

• Active/current TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field.
• 3+ years supporting a government acquisition program office and providing direct support to a program COTR.
• Systems engineering experience focused on requirements development.
• Experience with system design trades, mission requirements analysis, system development monitoring, and test development or execution.
• Experience with acquisition source selection, down-select processes, or demonstration phase execution.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience with customer space and ground systems acquisition or sustainment.
• Knowledge of acquisition and operations best practices and contract performance oversight.
• Satellite engineering or operations experience, including orbital dynamics and flight operations.
