Junior Buyer Beauty

Location: Hybrid role based at Chiswick Park, West London, with onsite work required two days a week. International business travel may be required for trade shows, supplier visits, and hirify.global international offices.

What you will do

• Source, select, and secure differentiated beauty products aligned with brand strategy, target customers, and commercial goals.
• Negotiate supplier costs and trading terms to improve sales, margin, and net profit contribution.
• Work with Planning, Category Merchandising, Digital, and international stakeholders to review performance and optimise omni-channel range plans.
• Build supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, develop new concepts, and support long-term brand plans.
• Coordinate pricing, inventory, critical paths, product launches, campaigns, events, and key product lines.
• Monitor market conditions, competitors, and product performance while ensuring buying activity follows compliance, legal, and internal policy requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in buying, junior buying, merchandising, or a comparable role in retail, trading, or a product-led commercial environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, including the ability to interpret trading metrics and make commercial decisions.
• Confident negotiation and supplier relationship-building skills.
• Product and market knowledge with initial trading experience in a relevant category.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation, flexibility, and sound judgement in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required and attend the West London site two days per week.
