What you will do

  • Engineer, build, operate, and maintain network services across global data centers, backbone sites, cloud platforms, and FedRAMP-authorized environments.
  • Design and optimize global IP backbone routing and highly available Layer 3 topologies using BGP, OSPF, routing policies, ECMP, and route reflectors.
  • Implement secure segmentation, boundary controls, traffic isolation, encryption, logging, and compliance controls for FedRAMP environments.
  • Develop automated provisioning, configuration, compliance, and validation workflows using Python, Ansible/AWX, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Lead troubleshooting and incident response for routing, TCP, connectivity, latency, packet loss, MTU, and QoS issues.
  • Create runbooks, architectural diagrams, audit documentation, lifecycle standards, and mentoring sessions while coordinating with Architecture, Product, Security, Compliance, Operations, and Build teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering across large-scale, multi-region, and global routing environments.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with BGP and OSPF, including traffic engineering and multi-vendor interoperability.
  • Strong operational and engineering experience with JunOS, preferably MX, QFX, and SRX.
  • Experience with hybrid and cloud-native networking across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
  • Hands-on automation experience with Python, Ansible/AWX, configuration templating, Git workflows, and automated testing or validation pipelines.
  • Knowledge of network security controls, firewalls, VPNs, DDoS mitigation, IDS/IPS, segmentation, encryption, logging, and NIST 800-53-based frameworks.

Nice to have

  • Experience engineering, operating, or supporting FedRAMP Moderate and/or High environments.
  • Experience with EOS, NX-OS, or IOS-XE.
  • Experience with vendor management, procurement, RMA workflows, capacity planning, and network equipment lifecycle management.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employment with an annual base salary range of $152,200–$228,400.
  • Potential eligibility for incentive compensation, bonuses, restricted stock units, and benefits.
  • Collaborative work across Architecture, Product, Security, Compliance, Operations, and Build functions.
