Senior Network Engineer

Salary: US$120,000–US$150,000 per year; €50,000–€60,000 per year

What you will do

• Architect, implement, optimise, and secure enterprise LAN/WAN, data-centre, and cloud/hybrid networks.
• Design high-availability, low-latency connectivity for trading platforms and market-data systems.
• Lead incident response, capacity planning, major network upgrades, and performance optimisation.
• Implement routing, switching, firewall, and SD-WAN policies using technologies including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VRFs.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive network strategy, standards, and documentation.
• Partner with security, infrastructure, and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in network engineering, ideally in financial services or another highly regulated environment.
• Deep expertise in routing, switching, and firewalls, including Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
• Strong experience with network monitoring, automation using Python, Ansible, or Terraform, and high-availability design.
• Experience operating in low-latency, high-performance environments.

Nice to have

• CCNP or CCIE certification.
• Cloud networking with AWS or Azure.
• SD-WAN and data-centre experience.
