Analytical Chemist Technician III - D shift (Chemical Analysis)

Location: Onsite in Bloomington, United States. D shift runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, plus alternating Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM. The Normandale campus spans Edina and Bloomington.

Salary: $24.94–$37.86 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled chemical analyses of plating baths and adjust chemical concentrations.
• Monitor pH, flow, temperature, and other process data through SCADA software, taking corrective action when conditions are out of control.
• Maintain and calibrate inline chemical measurement and dosing systems.
• Maintain laboratory chemical analysis equipment and prepare chemical standards for calibration.
• Keep accurate records in laboratory systems and logs.
• Collaborate with engineers and specialists to develop and standardize best practices across shifts.

Requirements

• Experience with chemical handling safety and laboratory safety.
• Ability to independently perform routine chemical analysis, chemical adjustments, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
• Comfort working in laboratory and cleanroom or factory environments.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing chemical analysis data.
• Strong communication, documentation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work the specified D-shift schedule onsite in Bloomington.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or chemical process control.
• Experience with HPLC, ion chromatography, ICP, XRF, UV-Vis spectroscopy, or potentiometric titration.
• Wafer manufacturing or systems experience.
• Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or LIMS software experience.
