Lab Analyst I (Analytical Chemistry)

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina, USA; onsite laboratory work

Salary: USD 20–22 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze samples independently after training, following analytical SOPs and department-specific methodologies.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Support method validation and method detection limit studies.
• Investigate client inquiries and corrective action requests, and help prepare responses.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks and technical information supporting laboratory operations.
• Follow internal procedures and safe laboratory practices while meeting production, hold-time, and turnaround-time targets.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline and 0–2 years of analytical chemistry laboratory experience, or 3 years of relevant experience such as sample preparation.
• Basic mathematical and reasoning skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull more than 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline with 1–2 years of relevant analytical chemistry laboratory experience.
• Experience with LIMS.
