Database Administrator (AWS)

Location: Porto, Portugal — hybrid model

What you will do

• Support mission-critical database environments running on AWS technologies.
• Install and configure database systems and related infrastructure.
• Monitor and improve database performance through tuning and query optimization.
• Manage database workloads and support reliable operations.
• Collaborate with a multicultural team distributed across several European cities, communicating at both business and technical levels.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience supporting mission-critical environments on AWS.
• Experience with Redshift, MySQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, and AWS RDS.
• Master’s degree in information technology, mathematics, physics, statistics, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• English at B2 level and availability to work in a hybrid model in Porto.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Amazon S3, IAM, Lambda, or CloudWatch.
