What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize high-performance database systems for large-scale applications.
• Manage and fine-tune SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and DynamoDB.
• Improve database performance through query optimization, indexing, partitioning, schema design, and data modeling.
• Monitor database health, availability, scalability, capacity, and growth trends.
• Automate backups, replication, failover, and disaster recovery mechanisms while protecting data integrity.
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate databases into CI/CD workflows and meet security, GDPR, and data governance requirements.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
• Expertise in relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
• Strong knowledge of database optimization, indexing, partitioning, replication, performance tuning, and troubleshooting slow queries.
• Experience with backup, recovery, failover, disaster recovery, cloud database services, and large, complex datasets.
• Knowledge of Python, Bash, or SQL scripting for automation and data security best practices.
• Ability to collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD integration.
