Enterprise Storage Specialist (NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, Ceph)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate enterprise storage platforms supporting compute, virtualization, database, and Kubernetes workloads.
• Manage block, file, and object storage across data center, edge, and cloud environments.
• Engineer and optimize NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, and Ceph storage systems.
• Integrate storage with VMware and Kubernetes through CSI.
• Automate storage engineering workflows using scripting, Ansible, Terraform, and REST APIs.
• Monitor performance, plan capacity, optimize costs, and troubleshoot storage, network, and host-layer issues.

Requirements

• 6+ years of enterprise storage engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in NetApp ONTAP or Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade.
• Production-scale experience with Ceph.
• Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, and object storage protocols.
• Experience integrating storage with VMware and Kubernetes, including CSI.
• Strong scripting, automation, performance, capacity planning, cost optimization, and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• NCDA, NCIE, or Pure Storage certifications.
• Experience with hybrid-cloud storage replication and software-defined storage platforms beyond Ceph.
• Experience with petabyte-scale object storage.
• Exposure to AI/ML workloads with extreme I/O requirements.
