Server/Storage Engineering, Professional II

Location: Lincolnshire, Illinois, United States; hybrid work is offered.

Salary: $76,640–$114,960 annual, plus a target performance-based annual cash incentive of 10% of base pay.

What you will do

• Collaborate with IT Solution Architects to validate server and storage designs against technical, security, capacity, cost, and integration requirements.
• Manage preliminary server intake requests and support Service Intake Process operations.
• Prepare quarterly Service Level Objective reports and monthly or quarterly End-of-Life and service intake reporting.
• Lead architectural and service intake meetings when the designated manager or coordinators are unavailable.
• Use AI and automation to reduce manual effort in service intake, end-of-life processes, and documentation.
• Coordinate with business units to decommission aging IT-supported systems and align application infrastructure with compute and operating system lifecycle processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus 2 or more years of related experience.
• Experience with server infrastructure design across Linux and Windows environments, including virtual and physical systems.
• Familiarity with GCP, AWS, Azure, GKE, Cloud Run, EKS, and AKS.
• Understanding of network topologies, routing, TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and application hosting connectivity.
• Knowledge of enterprise security architecture and experience using AI for workflow automation.
• Experience with Excel analysis and data management, including pivot tables and lookup functions, and Visio diagram creation.
