Assistant Nurse Manager, OR

Location: Sacramento, California, US; onsite

Salary: USD $222,000–$229,000 per year, plus an annual bonus and annual raise.

What you will do

• Supervise daily Main OR operations and nursing staff.
• Support staffing, resource allocation, patient placement, and utilization management.
• Monitor clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead survey readiness, mock rounds, corrective actions, and emergency preparedness planning.
• Support budget, productivity, and utilization goals.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams while coaching and developing nursing staff.

Requirements

• 5+ years of operating room RN experience, including Main OR/IntraOp experience.
• At least 1 year of nursing leadership experience as a Charge Nurse, Lead, Preceptor, Supervisor, or in a similar role.
• California RN license and BLS certification.
• Experience with Joint Commission compliance, survey readiness, and mock rounds.
• Experience with emergency preparedness and multi-unit hospital operations.
• Strong experience in nursing resource allocation, clinical quality and risk management, labor relations, and budget and utilization management.

Nice to have

• BSN and/or CNOR certification.
• Large hospital or union acute-care OR experience.
