Space Training Manager, SME

Location: Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, United States. Workplace: On-site

What you will do

• Create training products for Initial Qualification Training, Supplemental Training, Continuous Training, and Advanced Training supporting the Space Delta-5 mission.
• Develop, modify, and maintain course objectives, lesson plans, teaching aids, and other Ready Spacecrew Program materials.
• Support Advanced Training execution, scenario-based and threat-representative training, and lesson or scenario instruction.
• Plan and participate in mission activities, exercises, evaluation activities, and lessons-learned efforts to identify training needs and opportunities.
• Review deficiencies, after-action reports, and related documentation to improve training programs.
• Design, collect, analyze, and report training performance metrics.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with SCI eligibility is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and desire to work as part of a team.
• Experience or working knowledge of the Space Delta-5/CSpOC training program and related operational mission systems is highly desired.
• Experience with training program execution, coordination, development, modification, or administration is highly desired.

Nice to have

• Experience with air operations center operations, operational-level command and control, military command and control, or space command and control.
• Experience with the Instructional Systems Development model and planning or delivering instruction using ISD.
• Completion of an instructor course or other instructional experience.
• Prior military or civilian space experience with 55 CTS, Space Delta-5, 614 AOC, CSpOC, or another space instructional unit.
