Senior Procurement Contract Excellence Manager (Contracting)

Location: United States; locations listed include Lexington, MA and Plainsboro, NJ. The role requires 0–10% overnight travel.

Base compensation: $120,300–$222,600 annually, plus eligibility for a company bonus and potential long-term incentive compensation or company vehicle.

What you will do

• Support the Director of Contract Excellence and Sourcing Operations in executing the contracting roadmap and strategic priorities.
• Supervise daily contracting operations using KPIs such as cycle time, throughput, AI adoption, business partnering, and productivity.
• Negotiate urgent and complex contracts with counterparties and support risk-based Contract-to-Pay channel strategies.
• Drive process improvement through data analysis, automation, AI-assisted redlining, and AI-enabled contracting.
• Lead an Operations team of up to four members, providing guidance, accountability, and support for engagement and development.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, IT, Quality, Compliance, Product Safety, Business Intelligence, Digital, and Global Systems teams on process, data, platform, and change initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible relevant experience, including at least 7 years in procurement source-to-pay process management with an emphasis on contracting.
• At least 3 years of contract redlining and negotiation experience with counterparties.
• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems such as Coupa or Ironclad.
• At least 3 years of people leadership experience and demonstrated ability to advise and influence stakeholders.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, planning, prioritization, problem-solving, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel skills.

• Familiarity with broader source-to-pay platforms.
• Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience.
