IT Engineer 3 (Remote) (Python/PowerShell/AI): Resolving complex escalated IT issues and managing systems, endpoints, networks, identity access, and software deployments with an accent on scripting, automation, and infrastructure support. What you will do
- Resolve complex hardware, software, operating system, network, and business application issues escalated from Tier I and Tier II support.
- Manage system and endpoint configurations, software deployments, updates, patches, user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
- Write and maintain production-quality Python and PowerShell scripts, using AI tools to automate provisioning, configuration checks, reporting, and remediation.
- Integrate approved applications with the company’s single sign-on provider and support VPN connectivity.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and critical systems teams on troubleshooting, projects, monitoring, and upgrades.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, document technical solutions, transfer knowledge, and mentor lower-tier staff.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of SSO technologies and methodologies, particularly Okta.
- System administration experience with Windows desktop, macOS, and server operating systems; Linux experience is beneficial.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Proxmox.
- Excellent scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, and other programming languages.
- Knowledge of ticketing systems and ITSM frameworks such as ITIL, with strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Ansible or Terraform.
- Linux administration experience.
- Development experience.
