Systems Engineer (Fintech)

Systems Engineer (Fintech): Managing the backbone of a high-throughput financial data platform including Ceph storage, 25 GbE networking, and bare-metal/containerized deployments across data centers with an accent on systems automation, performance instrumentation, and large-scale storage maintenance. Location: Remote or offices in Boston, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, New York. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.; H-1B visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Configure systems and networks.
• Deploy bare-metal and containerized applications.
• Maintain large storage clusters exceeding 30 PB.
• Instrument performance measurements and alerts.
• Improve automation and tooling.
• Provide on-call support and coordinate bulk data delivery to customers.
• Handle occasional physical infrastructure provisioning.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the U.S.; no H-1B sponsorship.
• Strong Linux knowledge.
• Experience with systems configuration and provisioning (PXE, Puppet, Ansible preferred; Terraform).
• Understanding of storage concepts (RAID, LVM, filesystems, distributed storage).
• Basic networking (OSI model, IP protocols, switching/routing).
• Python coding and shell scripting.
• DevOps/GitOps mindset.
• 2+ years in systems engineering or internship experience; Bachelor’s in CS or related.

• Distributed storage (Ceph).
