What you will do

• Engineer cell lines with CRISPR gene editing to generate and validate gene knockouts, knock-ins, and endogenous protein tags.
• Generate stable cell lines using non-viral and viral delivery systems.
• Develop stable target-overexpressing cell lines, pools, and clones.
• Prepare NGS libraries and perform saturation mutagenesis and functional assays.
• Support structural cell biology, protein interaction, localization, and drug-discovery studies.
• Confirm editing success and genomic stability throughout clonal line generation.

Requirements

• Onsite work in Memphis, Tennessee, United States.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field is required.
• Eight years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, six years with a master's degree, or three years with a PhD.
• Experience with CRISPR gene editing, stable expression platforms, cell-line engineering, and molecular biology.
• Experience with molecular cloning methods and large or complex DNA constructs, including combinatorial libraries.
• Experience with site-directed or saturation mutagenesis is required.

Nice to have

• PhD with at least five years of postdoctoral experience in molecular biology, synthetic biology, or a related discipline.
• Experience with In-Fusion, LIC, PIPE, Gateway, FX, overlap-extension PCR, Gibson assembly, BioBrick, or recombineering.
