What you will do
- Provide routine health checks, health screenings, first aid, and emergency medical response for children.
- Monitor children for illness or injury, communicate health concerns to leadership and families, and manage contagious illness notifications and tracking.
- Administer and oversee routine and emergency medications, including nebulizers, oral medications, intramuscular medications, and epinephrine autoinjectors.
- Supervise special healthcare, food, nutrition, and accommodation plans; coordinate care-plan meetings with families and classroom teachers.
- Support teachers with health requirements for classroom activities and field trips.
- Monitor clinic supplies, conduct facility health and safety assessments, and ensure compliance with sanitation and handwashing procedures.
Requirements
- Active and valid LPN, LVN, or Registered Nurse license issued in any U.S. region.
- HIPAA training and understanding of confidentiality obligations.
- Ability to administer routine and emergency medications and provide first aid and CPR.
- Ability to maintain accurate health records and respond calmly to emergencies.
- Ability to secure and maintain Federal Government security checks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities throughout an 8-hour shift; reliable attendance and scheduling flexibility are required.

- Prior experience in pediatric or childcare health settings.

- Assignments support planned extended absences and short-term, on-call coverage.
- Extended assignments may be full-time at 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for defined periods.
- Shifts are scheduled within operating hours of 8:00 AM–6:30 PM and include 8 working hours plus a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
- Some assignments require availability on short notice.
