Medication Nurse - LPN

Location: Springfield, Missouri, USA; onsite at 404 East Battlefield. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Pay: $28 per hour plus bonus structure

What you will do

• Administer methadone as prescribed and ensure safe, accurate dosing.
• Screen and assess new and existing patients, observe treatment responses, and monitor progress.
• Collect and document urine specimens, lab work, physicals, and patient dosing records.
• Maintain medication and medical supply inventory in compliance with DEA regulations, including preparing courtesy and vacation dose packages.
• Support regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards in the treatment center.
• Onboard and mentor nursing staff while collaborating with counselors, nurses, and the broader care team.

Requirements

• Active LPN, LVN, or RN license required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment involving prolonged standing, bending, keyboarding, and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment when required and work with patients affected by substance use disorders, mental health conditions, infectious diseases, or criminal justice involvement.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemical addiction treatment.
• Knowledge of medication dispensing equipment, centrifuges, physical assessment tools, breathalyzers, and other clinical devices.
• Strong data entry, computer, critical thinking, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records and standard office equipment.
