Forward-Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site

Salary: $90K–$130K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design and build customer-specific hiring workflows, including triggers, filters, interview guides, and ATS actions.
• Build, maintain, and own integrations with applicant tracking systems, assessment providers, identity verification tools, and other workflow systems.
• Lead technical onboarding, including connections, permissions, job imports, field mapping, workflow configuration, testing, and go-live.
• Own production deployments, support customers and candidates, diagnose root causes, and resolve operational issues.
• Build monitoring and observability that identifies deployment problems before customers report them.
• Communicate customer needs and product limitations to product engineering using evidence from multiple deployments.

Requirements

• Demonstrated engineering ability, including reading and writing code and shipping production changes.
• Comfort working with third-party systems and incomplete or inaccurate API documentation.
• Strong debugging instincts and an evidence-driven approach to root-cause analysis.
• Ability to work directly with customers, lead working sessions, and communicate difficult information clearly.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Experience in forward-deployed, implementation, solutions, or integrations engineering, particularly with many third-party systems.

Nice to have

• Experience building against complex enterprise APIs.
• Fluency with observability tools, including logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
