Staff Engineer Laboratory Operations - Client Technology

Salary: $131,500–$187,000 annually, with geographic-market adjustments.

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of an IT product or capability, including design, development, deployment, maintenance, backup, and support.
• Manage product OKRs, quarterly roadmaps, and an AI-assisted workflow backlog covering use cases, guardrails, measurement, and rollout plans.
• Administer complex IT systems and tools, develop secure scripts and automations, and plan endpoint updates with human approval for production changes.
• Establish and maintain security controls, architecture documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Design human-in-the-loop AI workflows connecting knowledge, tickets, and diagnostics to reduce mean time to resolution.
• Lead critical incident response, root cause analysis, remediation, and continuous operational improvement with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree with 9 years of experience, bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 7 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Deep technical expertise in a client technology domain such as endpoint management or laboratory technologies.
• Experience owning and administering complex IT products or capabilities in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience developing production-grade scripts and automations, using monitoring and reporting tools, and troubleshooting integrated systems.
• Familiarity with IT security frameworks, Agile environments, and ticketing systems such as JIRA or JSM.
• Ability to design technical solutions aligned with business needs, influence process improvements, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and end users.
