Principal Business Systems Analyst

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States; primary location Greenwood Village, Colorado. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Base salary: $114,000–$165,300 per year, with potential participation in a bonus program.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional collaboration in an Agile environment to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements for software development projects.
• Translate business needs into user stories, workflows, process analyses, flow diagrams, and technical solution documentation.
• Bridge communication between business stakeholders, architects, systems analysts, engineers, and Quality Assurance teams.
• Analyze systems and processes, troubleshoot issues, conduct impact analyses, recommend solutions, and review system enhancements.
• Contribute to product delivery, application roadmaps, scalability, resilience, and major-incident business support.
• Coach and mentor other Analysts and lead the Analyst community Center of Excellence within the value stream.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience working with development and systems teams as a Lead Business Systems Analyst.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and solve business problems with innovative and practical solutions.
• Effective communication skills for understanding stakeholder needs and clearly conveying technical information.
• Proficiency in collecting, documenting, and managing system requirements from stakeholders.
• Understanding of technology and systems, including highly complex multi-platform applications and databases, to connect business needs with technical solutions.
• Effective documentation skills for creating reports, manuals, workflows, and specifications.
• Ability to manage tasks, timelines, and resources to support project delivery, with flexibility to adapt to changes in scope, requirements, or technology.
• High proficiency with SQL, Toad, MS Access, Excel, and/or SharePoint.
• Strong knowledge of Agile development methodology, including experience with Jira and Confluence.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with Agile principles.
• Prior production support and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience as a QA professional or Developer.
