Development Producer (Vertical Content)

Location: Onsite at the studio in Burbank, California or Chatsworth, California. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Changing Lives Productions is hirify.global’ in-house video production company, creating scripted positive content for global digital audiences and expanding into SVOD and traditional media partnerships.

What you will do

• Ideate, develop, and produce original scripted concepts while expanding existing IP into repeatable series.
• Create pitches, loglines, treatments, beat sheets, outlines, pitch decks, and longform scripts.
• Adapt stories across short-form social, digital episodic, vertical, SVOD, and linear formats.
• Facilitate writers’ rooms, manage creatives, and help recruit and develop specialized talent.
• Analyze platform trends, audience behavior, viewer feedback, retention mechanics, and packaging requirements.
• Partner with production to ensure executable budgets, consistent IP vision, and delivery from concept through worldwide release.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in scripted development within the film and television industry.
• Experience in a Creative Executive, Lead Writer, or Producer capacity.
• Experience ideating and writing longform scripted series for SVOD, FAST, digital, creator-led, youth, family, or female-skewing audiences.
• Deep fluency in YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, vertical microdrama applications, SVOD/AVOD/FAST, audience retention mechanics, and creator-led programming.
• Ability to work with small, fast-moving teams under compressed timelines, with strong organization, budget awareness, and production judgment.
• Portfolio link or writing samples required with the application.
