Senior Accounting Process Analyst

Location: Remote anywhere across the United States; employees within the designated geographic range may be required to work on-site based on business needs and manager discretion

What you will do

• Ensure financial data is accurately processed, validated, reconciled, classified, and reflected in accounting and operational reporting.
• Prepare financial, regulatory, management, and operational reports by analyzing data, researching issues, and validating information.
• Investigate discrepancies, exceptions, trends, and variances; perform root-cause analysis and improve data reliability.
• Support audits, regulatory examinations, and internal control activities through documentation and validation.
• Execute financial risk controls, escalate risks, and maintain audit-readiness documentation.
• Identify and implement process simplification, standardization, and automation opportunities in partnership with Accounting, Operations, Financial Controls, and Technology teams.

Requirements

• Remote work must be performed from within the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, operations, or systems-related roles.
• Ability to analyze data, perform reconciliations, and resolve issues affecting financial processes, reporting, controls, and operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, SQL, and financial or operational systems.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes, with strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or a large corporate environment with complex financial processes.
• Experience supporting financial reporting, audits, or regulatory processes and familiarity with financial systems, data tools, or reporting platforms.
• Progress toward or interest in CPA, CMA, MBA, IIBA-CBAP, or IIBA-CCBA certifications.
• Exposure to process or continuous improvement initiatives.
