Business Analyst II (AI)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; hybrid schedule with at least four days per week in the office and one day working from home. Other location: Charlotte, North Carolina.

Base salary: $66,700–$91,700 per year, plus potential variable compensation.

What you will do

• Lead or perform business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, process evaluation, solution design, testing, implementation support, and adoption planning.
• Structure ambiguous business problems, evaluate solutions, and help prioritize initiatives based on value, feasibility, risk, and capacity.
• Analyze operational and business data, develop dashboards and key performance indicators, and prepare executive-ready reporting.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual work, strengthen controls, and improve automation and workflows.
• Support artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives through use-case evaluation, governance, testing, monitoring, documentation, and adoption.
• Collaborate with underwriting, operations, technology, data, risk, compliance, product, and leadership stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, reporting, process improvement, or business transformation.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, management information systems, mathematics, economics, data science, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, facilitation, stakeholder-management, and influencing skills.
• Experience managing multiple priorities, working through ambiguity, and translating complex information into clear recommendations.
• Ability to work in the United States with valid authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance, financial services, underwriting, new business, or another regulated environment.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, SQL, Python, Snowflake, Dataiku, cloud platforms, or similar analytical tools.
• Knowledge of automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, governance, controls, monitoring, and responsible adoption practices.
