Regional Category Strategy Manager MLP – Asia (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Develop the Asian supplier landscape through scouting, pre-screening, site visits, benchmarking, competency mapping, and supplier shortlisting.
• Build a supplier-development funnel aligned with category strategies, technology roadmaps, QLTCS performance, intellectual property protection, and hirify.global’s operating model.
• Identify supplier capability gaps and define development actions for high-complexity components, assemblies, and modules.
• Co-develop global category strategies covering long-term vision, supplier landscapes, commercial models, risks, rewards, and business alignment.
• Drive supplier and account-level execution, prepare selection proposals, align stakeholders, and resolve or escalate deployment issues.
• Represent the category in cross-functional forums, support make-buy assessments, and advance internal and supplier technology roadmaps.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree, preferably in a technical, business, supply chain, or strategy-related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in advanced technology, such as semiconductors, defense, telecom, or a similar industry.
• Strong technical background in semiconductor equipment design and/or manufacturing.
• Strategy experience in a large international company or consulting environment.
• Ability to influence without formal authority, structure complex issues, and translate data and business context into actionable recommendations.
• Strong collaboration, executive communication, planning, judgment, and execution skills in multidisciplinary and virtual teams.

Nice to have

• Experience working with suppliers in Asia.
• Commercial experience in sourcing, account management, or product management.
