(USA) Area Manager - Maintenance (Grocery)

Location: Onsite in New Caney, Texas, United States

Annual salary: $80,000–$120,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible regional pay zone and stock compensation.

What you will do

• Manage daily maintenance department operations for warehouse equipment, material-handling equipment, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration, and building repairs.
• Implement business plans by setting goals, managing staffing and schedules, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads.
• Monitor productivity, expenses, capital expenditures, asset utilization, and business performance reports.
• Maintain quality and safety standards, including associate training, policy compliance, and required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including OSHA, Hazardous Waste, NFPA, Storm Water, and DOT requirements.
• Supervise, coach, evaluate, and develop associates and leaders while supporting hiring and promotion activities.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or technical school certification in an industrial-related field and one year of related maintenance supervisory experience, or a bachelor’s degree in business, industrial, logistics, or a related field.
• Alternatively, one year of supervisory experience in a maintenance-related environment, two years of Walmart Logistics maintenance experience including six months leading a work or project team, or two years of industrial supervisory experience with one year in maintenance.
• Experience managing workloads, evaluating and developing managers or supervisors, and participating in hiring and promotion decisions.
• Work is based at the New Caney, Texas facility.

Nice to have

• Experience with compliance, general maintenance, Microsoft Office, or regulatory agencies.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or logistics.
