(USA) Area Manager, Fleet Safety

Location: Midway, Tennessee, United States

Salary: $65,500–$98,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Support transportation offices with fleet safety operations.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and other applicable safety standards.
• Train and coach drivers to improve performance and safety.
• Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures.
• Analyze safety data, identify root causes, and apply corrective solutions.
• Create safety dashboards and use technology to improve safety processes.

Requirements

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards.
• Experience training and coaching drivers.
• Strong data and digital literacy, including data analysis and insight development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety management, environmental science, traffic safety, transit safety, or a related field plus 2 years of safety experience; or 4 years of traffic safety experience.
• Two years of experience with continuous improvement methodologies in supply chain or transportation maintenance environments.

Nice to have

• Safety certifications such as Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, or related credentials.
• Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and OneDrive experience.
• Knowledge of environmental policies and procedures.
