Staff Clinical Informatics Data Architect (Healthcare AI)

What you will do

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of healthcare data modeling, normalization, transformation, enrichment, and deduplication.
• Design data models and map source data to FHIR, OMOP, and STDM while standardizing clinical concepts with SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm, and related terminologies.
• Oversee ingestion and integration strategies for multisource healthcare data using FHIR, HL7, X12 ED, and other interoperability protocols.
• Architect reliable, high-volume data pipelines that support timely analysis and clinical intervention.
• Establish data quality standards, document architecture and harmonization principles, and resolve complex data-related issues.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and evaluate emerging machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a medical-related field, plus a Master’s degree in Clinical Informatics.
• At least 8 years of experience as a clinical informaticist, data architect, or data integration engineer in healthcare or life sciences.
• Proficiency in healthcare standards, controlled terminologies, standard data models, and interoperability frameworks including SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm, FHIR, OMOP, HL7, NCPDP, and CCD-A.
• Strong skills in SQL, Python, R, dbt, ETL tooling, and Jupyter Notebook.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, Git, and collaborative development tools.

Nice to have

• PhD in Clinical Informatics, MD, or PharmD.
• Experience developing informatics solutions for patient care or clinical research.
• Knowledge of clinical practice, research, and workflows in hospital or ambulatory settings.
• Expertise in OMOP, HL7 FHIR R4/R5, HL7 v2, CDA/CCD-A, and NCPDP.
